Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals. - Computes, calculates and records wages, overtime payments, and payroll deductions.- Processes requests for paycheck advances. - Processes payroll on time and accurately, in compliance with state and federal regulations. - Verifies accuracy of paid time off accruals. - Balances and approves bi-weekly payroll after receipt. - Creates and generates reports utilizing payroll system as required including union reports. - Assist in preparing and processing union dues, benefits, 401k and Deferred Comp, as required. - Verifies and enters tokes, and accumulate information required for toke rate calculations. - Assists in audits as required. - Provides payroll-related information to the Finance department as requested. - Withholds and /or initiates voluntary withholdings disbursements such as levies, garnishments, and child support. - Performs month end closing activities and reports and oversee month end accrual process. - Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Management / GM. - Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
