PI is looking for a Media Buyer to assist our User Acquisition Management team in the planning and buying of paid media across multiple channels, including: Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic Display, Online Video, CTV, Audio, Outdoor, etc. for our Penn Interactive online sportsbook and casino products.


The role will assist the Acquisition management team purchase and launch media campaigns utilizing keyword research, ad copy generation, building placements within media platforms, assigning creative rotations, adjusting bidding strategies, and overall campaign maintenance. As campaigns are analyzed and optimized, the Media Buyer will assist with vendor and placement-level optimizations to increase campaign performance.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Assist with the strategy, development, build, and maintenance of paid media campaigns for both online sportsbook and online casino products
  • Hands-on-keyboard support of paid media efforts across multiple platforms to possibly include Google, Apple, Facebook, Twitter, Programmatic DSPs
  • Assist with creative requests, ad copy generation, and creative sharing with media vendors
  • Frequently analyze and optimize the performance of paid media campaigns to find insights and learnings that will continually improve performance
  • Continual focus on developments and changes across the media industry to sharpen acquisition campaigns; looking within the gaming industry and outside of the industry for inspiration
  • Collaborate at both micro & macro campaign/promotion levels with CRM, analytics, creative, product, and customer services organizations
  • Ensures all media buys are in line with State regulatory requirements
  • Execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Hands-on-keyboard experience within paid media platforms (such as AdWords, Apple Search Ads, Facebook, Twitter, Programmatic DSPs) is essential to the success of this role. Additional experience with app marketing is preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable, analytical thinker who can work both strategically as well as in a hands-on executional capacity
  • Innovative thinker who looks beyond immediate competitive set for inspiration and ideas.
  • Prior experiencing in media planning and buying
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Experience in building campaigns within media platforms
  • Excellent analytical and time-management skills
  • MUST HAVE: Passion for sports AND/OR sports betting
