SUMMARY

 

This is a paid internship program for students seeking an understanding of the hospitality industry with a focus on the Food & Beverage. During your internship you will rotate through various departments and roles under the F&B umbrella. This internship may include rotations in Food & Beverage Front of House and Back of House, Housekeeping, Event Services, and Event Set Up

Your daily responsibilities include

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

 

  • Understand and learn different positions and roles within the Hospitality department.
  • Develop refined customer service skill, both in-person or by phone.
  • Develop guest recovery skills to meet customer expectations.
  • Assist with set-up and breakdowns of property events.
  • Gain exposure to F&B opening and closing procedures
  • Participate in and contribute to weekly team meetings.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.  
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • The ideal candidate must be enrolled in an accredited program or related field.
  • This candidate must have an outgoing personality, exceptional communication skills, positive attitude and be team oriented.
  • Must be able to handle a fast paced and evolving work environment.
  • The candidate is expected to be self-motivated and committed to exceeding the expectations of our customers.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office software.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                     

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
