Penn Interactive (PI) is an interactive gaming company headquartered in Philadelphia. As the digital arm to Penn National Gaming (NASDAQ: PENN), the largest regional casino operator in the U.S., ), the largest regional casino operator in the U.S., we are poised for fast-paced growth in the sports betting and online casino space and have partnered with Barstool Sports to launch an online sportsbook.


We're looking for a User Experience Writer to help us reach holistic product solutions by establishing a unified voice across different products and platforms. You understand that choosing the right words can define the product's vision; you strive for the content to be useful, meaningful, and intuitive. You use empathy and data to make the best decisions when it comes to content and employ narratives to guide the user to complete the tasks.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Use writing and editing skills to write text in UI components that are easy to digest, understand, and read.
  • Facilitate user navigation, as well as onboarding, error messages, instructional materials, and other elements of the end-to-end user experience, with well-crafted content.
  • Coordinate and keep cohesive narratives across all digital touchpoints within the product and across cross-functional teams.
  • Define best practices for user interface writing and content strategy principles.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, Literature, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in user-focused writing, including work in hardware, software, digital agency, documentation, or journalism. 
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, and influence (with and without formal authority) engineering, design, and product management teams.
  • A portfolio of UX-focused writing samples and style guidelines.


       Bonus Points for:

  • Background in content strategy.
  • Be product-oriented rather than sales oriented.
  • Experience with localization and accessibility best practices.
  • Knowledge of user experience research principles and practices and how to apply data to implement informed user insights.
