Your daily responsibilities include

SUMMARY

Maintain and repair plant buildings and facilities.  Review work orders, analyze equipment failure and resolve the problem working from preventative maintenance schedules, maintenance manuals, blue prints or instructions.  Responsible for performing engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives that involve conventional types of plans and specifications.

 

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain engineering for HVAC, ductwork, piping, plumbing and fire protection.

 

Review assigned work orders on a daily basis and determine work priorities.

 

Install machines, tools and equipment to ensure continuous operations.

 

Inspect kitchen machines and equipments for conformance with operational standards.

 

Inspect, repair, and adjust HVAC equipment.

 

Repair, rod, clean, adjust and remove plumbing fixtures; line vents and/or drains as needed, to ensure proper operation and sanitation.

 

Make minor electrical repairs including but not limited to:  repair and replacement of outlets, light fixtures and equipment.

 

Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair a wide variety of equipment.

 

Test and tear down equipment and replace defective parts and component units such as motors, clutches, belts, hoses or controls.

 

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities, check equipment function and operation, and recommend required maintenance action.

 

Work from maintenance work orders, review job and determine materials needed to repair.

 

Perform equipment or building repairs as directed.

 

Perform repair carpentry, plumbing, painting, dry walling, wallpapering, flooring, electrical and roofing as needed.

 

Install or assist in the installation or relocation of equipment.

 

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities as assigned.

 

Assist in the installation or relocation of equipment.

 

Operate snowplow and spread salt as needed.

 

Promote and lead in our Marquee Service initiatives to external and internal guests that perpetuate Hollywood Casino’s commitment towards quality guest service.

 

Attend departmental and company meetings.

 

Follow all safety rules.

 

Adhere to departmental quality standards.

 

Maintain compliance with the Illinois Gaming Board Rules, Standards and the company’s System of Internal Controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

 

Work within the guidelines established by Penn National Gaming and Hollywood Casino Aurora.

 

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Must have high school diploma or equivalent with a thorough understanding of maintenance manuals and blueprints.  2-3 years maintenance experience, specializing in skills related to carpentry, plumbing, painting and wall covering, electrical or roofing is preferred – or equivalent work experience related to the nature of the position.

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Must have ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively present information in a on-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.  Must have a basic understanding of computer operations.

 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as:  addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and apply to practical situations using fractions, percentages, measurements, proportions, and problem solving.

 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Qualified to be licensed by the Illinois Gaming Board.  Also any Departmental specific requirements.

 Department Specific:  Valid Illinois driver’s license.

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift 70+ pounds

Must be able to see near, far, and in color.

 

Must be able to climb stairs.
