The Scrum Master will champion PI’s Agile delivery process and support scrum practices, remove impediments, and provide Agile expertise for multiple Sportsbook teams.  This role will provide strategic planning support and tactical execution management, Agile release planning, process and tool design and support, and resource management administration

 

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Facilitate scrum ceremonies, including daily scrums, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective, ensuring full team engagement
  • Encourage and support iterative and collaborative development, favoring people over process
  • Lead, track and report on Agile releases through the PI Agile delivery process, from sprint planning through sprint retrospectives
  • Create, maintain and disseminate Agile release plans, sprint commitments, sprint deliverables, and insights to stakeholders
  • Reinforce and build upon a collaborative team culture that empowers and elevates each team member
  • Build high performing Agile sprint teams, focusing on continuous improvement, continuous integration, continuous development and delivering value to the customer
  • Define, provide and interpret Agile metrics to effectively plan and track sprint commitments and delivery
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and facilitate trade off decisions, and help balance the business needs versus technical constraints
  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues, risks, and impediments at multiple levels

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Must have 2-4 years of experience with large, complex Agile releases, projects and programs in large organizations with cross-portfolio interdependencies and resource demands.
  • Must have a proven track record of simultaneously managing multiple sprint teams with shared and different backlogs, sprints, and releases
  • Ability to listen, analyze, influence, negotiate and use judgment to solve complex issues in order to accomplish project goals
  • Strong passion for Agile frameworks and guiding development teams to higher Scrum maturity.
  • Experience with Agile management tools including JIRA, Rally, similar toolsets, including Agile metrics and reporting
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Bonus Points for:
  • Scrum Master certification
  • Passion for sports or betting
  • Experience with mobile/web games, entertainment apps and/or the gaming industry 
  • Gaming License
    • Position may require licensing in applicable states that PI operates. If so, you must qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
