Overview

Penn Interactive (PI) is an interactive gaming company headquartered in Philadelphia. PI is the digital arm of Penn National Gaming (NASDAQ: PENN), the largest regional casino operator in the U.S.). Our mission is to challenge the norms of the gaming industry by building an immersive interactive gaming experience that is responsible, innovative, and fun.  Through our partnership with Barstool Sports, we are hoping to continue to launch our online sportsbook and icasino across the US. 

The Operational Compliance Analyst will be responsible for assisting with operational compliance matters for the real money interactive sportsbook and online casino under any of the Penn National Brands, including but not limited to Barstool Sportsbook and iCasino, Hollywood Casino, or myChoice casino.

 

This role will act as a resource to the Operational Compliance Manager and the Casino and Sportsbook teams to ensure that the digital business is aligned with the best practices outlined by the Compliance team. As the business rapidly grows, the Operational Compliance Analyst will assist in assessing business needs and operational efficiencies. The position will also provide assistance in key areas such as: Rules and Regulations Review, Internal Control Drafting and Review, AML, Fraud/Payments, KYC, and Complaint Management.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Partner with the Operational Compliance Manager and work across teams to draft and review interactive sportsbook and online casino
  • Internal Controls for each state of operation.
  • Assist with drafting and editing regulatory reports and maintaining rapport with regulators in each state of operation.
  • Monitor and investigate as needed, operational and procedural compliance relating to internal controls, complaints, regulatory reporting, KYC, and Responsible Gaming.
  • Track, monitor, and submit internal and external regulatory compliance reports with the assistance of the Operational Compliance Manager
  • Assist with internal control testing and compliance
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of compliance recordkeeping reports and systems.
  • Analyze operational processes to identify areas to improve efficiency and reporting
  • Assist with developing internal policies and operating procedures
  • Proactively identify and anticipate issues that may negatively impact business and make the necessary changes to implement operations-based solutions.
  • Actively research industry compliance regulations and policies and provide feedback to the Compliance Team
  • Partner with other departments as needed to support the organization’s needs
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Preference in legal, audit or regulatory related field.
  • 2+ years of work experience within a similar role. Experience in the Gambling industry is a plus.
  • Able to understand and adhere to any regulatory standards and changes and communicate effectively with Gaming Regulators.
  • Strong ability to analyze and document necessary business processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understand regulatory requirements for licensing, operations and products.
  • Desire to work with a team but also independently as needed
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills needed
  • Able to effectively communicate with excellent execution to ensure the achievement of personal and company objectives.
  • Results, goal, and detailed oriented
  • Experience in gathering and understanding requirements and the ability to negotiate the “Right Solution” for the business while meeting all regulatory expectations.
  • Experience working with development teams to plan and deliver solutions on time to outside parties such as Banks, Regulators and
  • Gaming Certification Service Providers.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and to work under the pressure of short time constraints.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain cordial and professional relationships with all levels of the business.

Gaming License

  • Position may require licensing in applicable states that PI operates.  If so, you must qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
