Your daily responsibilities include

- Directs the work of the Surveillance Officers on assigned shift to ensure employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives. - Understands departmental objectives, standards, guidelines, and budget to achieve effective supervision of department. - Assists in training and development of Surveillance Officers to ensure superior customer service standards are achieved. - Ensures that all company and departmental procedures are followed; assists various local, state, and federal authorities in various activities and investigations to ensure that procedures and laws are observed. - Participates in any court actions relating to gaming violations in order to represent facts as obtained by department. - Maintains daily log and reports to ensure that adequate and accurate information on surveillance activities are kept for future access. - Understands various card counting systems including cheating methods of all games and equipment in a casino environment. - Reports all observed violations of gaming regulations and procedures to appropriate authority in order to adhere to company reporting requirements and the Gaming and Racing Commission. - Ensures that proper procedures for Games, Slots, Cashiers, drops, etc., are implemented and maintained. - Responds to surveillance supervision and gaming regulators' requests and other departments' requests when necessary. - Maintains a high level of awareness as to criminal and civil law as it pertains to the company.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

- High School Diploma or equivalent. - This position may be called to work on the casino floor and may be subject to varying levels of noise, smoke, and crowds, the severity of which depends on customer volume. - Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees. - Ability to look over players and observe cheating techniques. - Ability to identify cheating techniques and operate computer and surveillance equipment. - Ability to move effectively and efficiently around work area and work in a confined space. - Basic knowledge of civil and criminal laws and Racing and Gaming regulations. - Basic knowledge of county and state ordinances. - Knowledge and understanding of electronic, video, and alarm functions. - Knowledge of  laws pertaining to citizens’ powers of arrest procedures. - Knowledge and understanding of games and statistical and daily games reports. - Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to read and write concise, factual reports. - This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school education or equivalent and one year of progressive experience in surveillance operations. - Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
