We are seeking a Financial Accountant who will support the day-to-day accounting and reporting activities for the business. In this role, the individual will be a key contributor in the monthly accounting close process and will support the continuous improvement of processes and growth of each business. Your daily responsibilities include

  • Support the accounting and reporting functions of the business, including online sports betting & casino and social mobile gaming operations.
  • Post journal entries to record business transactions.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations to validate the completeness and accuracy of GL account balances.
  • Assist with review of revenues, expenses, etc. as assigned to support month-end financial statement review.
  • Monitor and track daily cash activity of bank accounts and prepare bank reconciliations at month end.
  • Support vendor relationships including professional sports leagues and sports betting data providers.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of rules and regulations as promulgated by, among other governing bodies, FASB generally accepted accounting principles, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Internal Revenue Service, state departments of revenue, and state gaming commissions.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Comply with all accounting and financial reporting internal controls as required by internal policy
  • Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Assist with other ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed.

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred ­­­­­­­Accounting; 1-2 years of experience.
  • Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from vendors and regulatory agencies.
  • Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to perform statistical analyses.
  • Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
  • Must have the ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge; MS Office.

Gaming License

  • Position may require licensing in applicable states that PI operates.  If so, you must qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
