Your daily responsibilities include

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Demonstrates a passion for learning and business development to enhance the skills and performance of the entire organization
  • Designs, develops, and delivers effective learning solutions which apply adult learning techniques, innovative technology, and different deliveries to drive performance of organization
  • Identifies and leverages technology to increase effectiveness and optimize value of delivering learning content
  • Leads the content development and facilitation of training sessions to increase the field Sales Team understanding of product, competition, and professional development
  • Increase the sales team’s understanding of the gaming industry and how to optimize selling performance
  • Develops training content for meetings – including, but not limited to –Sales Leadership Meetings, New Hire Sales Training, On-Going Training to support strategic initiatives and improve competencies
  • Identifies needs in product knowledge, selling skills, business acumen, and leadership skills while identifying solutions to address gaps
  • Develops programs, specific to the VGT Operations, to drive effective business results, talent development, and talent retention
  • Manages the compliance training program, in collaboration with the Human Resources Department for all Team Members
  • Partners closely with Sales, Marketing, and Human Resources to ensure alignment of learning content to brand and corporate strategy
  • Remains current on latest industry techniques and adapts training solutions as needed
  • Leads efforts in identifying and implementing the company-wide Learning Management System (Salesforce)
  • Takes responsibility for development and management of training budget
  • Partners with vendors to manage the development of training content, and when applicable, facilitation of training sessions
  • Ensures compliance of all training content and techniques
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) from four-year college or university preferred; minimum of four years’ experience in a comparable leadership, training and or sales position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in launch and commercialization of new products and processes Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, influencing, and coaching skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must have the ability to interact with location owners, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Must have knowledge of VGT Operations.
  • Up to 50% travel and flexible to work all shifts as business needs dictate.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                     

This job may or may not have supervisory responsibilities.



Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.



Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.



Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.


Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
