Your daily responsibilities include

  • Responsible for supervising an F&B Outlet designated to this role and the overall daily management of a designated shift. Supports, administers, and supervises operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Ensures compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reports concerns to manager.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with departmental and company standards and programs.  Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.  Responsible for the overall achievement of departmental customer service goals.
  • Knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations which apply to the functions and duties of the Food & Beverage department for which this position is responsible.
  • Assists in the maintenance and development of procedures for food service and inspects menu items for maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Assists F&B Assistant Outlet Managers and Beverage Manager to ensure efficient, sanitary, and pleasant service for all guests.
  • Assists in maintaining cost control methods and procedures by monitoring consistent pars and inventory.
  • Assists F&B Assistant Outlet Managers and Beverage Manager with administrative duties, as assigned.
  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees regarding performance.
  • Provides recommendation for staffing and scheduling to meet business needs.
  • Supervises work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Provides recommendation for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).
  • Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Assists with report generation, employee cash out and bank drop processes during each assigned shift.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

 

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Associate degree from an accredited University, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous supervisory experience required.
  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage desired, but not required.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends, as business needs dictate.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must be proficient in point of sale system usage.
  • Excellent motivational, communication, and customer service skills required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Must obtain a First Aid/AED certification. Must successfully complete C.A.R.E or TiPS training.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
