An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Answer incoming calls in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Facilitate use of staff to meet guests needs.
  • Assist managers and inspectors in daily operations.
  • Ensure all departmental, property policies, procedures, and performance standards are maintained.
  • Exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow team members.
  • Any and all duties as assigned by your Manager or a member of management.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Must be 18 years of age or older. Housekeeping experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or fellow team members.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of the hotel property management system as it pertains to all housekeeping functions.
  • Possess good communication and organizational skills.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The team member is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The team member is occasionally required to climb or balance. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
