MAJOR JOB DUTIES:  Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Must be proficient in ID checking and be familiar with both the ID checking guide and the International ID checking guide.
• Must attend or have attended the LVMPD club drug seminar and follow guidelines.

• Prevent conflict, timely reaction to a situations and show an even temperament in extreme situations,  react promptly to disturbances on the pool deck, pool gaming tables, bar area or any other areas assigned during shift.

• Understanding of special awareness, where they are on the deck where there exits/entrances and the quickest safest way off.
• Maintain vigilance at assigned posts for all activities.
• Maintain routine patrols throughout the pool area while on watch for criminal activities and any general non-compliance to company rules and policies.
• Prevent entry of and address issues of minors/persons under the age of 21 years in Day Dreams VIP pool.
• Keep alert for undesirables, thieves, and other persons who are disruptive to the establishment.
• Follow the procedures and operations of all emergency equipment (including warning and announcement devices) located throughout the pool area.
• Provide CPR and basic first aid and assist injured pool guests and team members, use of oxygen and first aid equipment.
• Use of protective devices, handcuffs and basic defensive tactics.
• Understanding of the Nevada Revised Statutes, Chapter 465 laws on gaming, OSHA mandates, and ADA mandates.
• All duties and tasks assigned by the Security Manager, Pool Management, Security Shift Manager, and the Vice President  of  Facilities .
• Patrol pool area and attempt to protect assets as needed.
• Respond to and handle emergencies using the proper methods, and the correct safety procedures.
• Provide security and protection for our pool guests and team members.

EXPERIENCE:  1 year previous night club, or day club/pool security experience

EDUCATION:    High School Diploma or GED.                                  

SKILLS:   Must be proactive and observant to prevent conflict, and be able to react to a situation before it gets physical. Excellent communication skills.  Full knowledge and understanding of all hotel and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff.  Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Good organizational skills required. Ability to perform basic math.  Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.  Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing of memos and responding to correspondence.  Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.  Ability to express leadership skills and manage several tasks at once.  Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Gaming Registration, CPR and First Aid Certification, Alcohol Awareness.
