Your daily responsibilities include

  • Managing all aspects of steward operations in all outlets
  • Proper scheduling to ensure a clean, safe and healthy working environment 
  • All labor and inventory control costs 
  • Controlling company assets 
  • Maintaining adherence to all safety regulations
  • Hiring, training and development of employees 
  • Maintenance and preventive maintenance of all kitchen and dish room equipment. Maintaining the stocking and correct inventory of chemical products
  • Upkeep of proper tools 
  • Communicating and cooperating with all management and line staff employees 
  • Executing and auditing supplies and inventory items insuring cost controls
  • Monthly inventory of china, glass, flatware and utensils 
  • Ordering china, glass, flatware and utensils when supplies reach below par levels 
  • Ensuring that the minimum level of labor is used to perform the required level of service without impacting service standards  
  • Completing the required daily financial tools and reports
  • Communicating variances from established standards to Food & Beverage Director  
  • Assuring all employee files are in order as described in Property Guidelines 
  • Understanding and administering the PAF form, setting performance expectations and providing coaching and operational support for the supervisory team, and employees 
  • Enforcing all appearance and uniform guidelines 
  • Enforcing all regulatory, internal controls, policies and procedures

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of five years Food & Beverage back of house experience with three years of supervisory experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching, team building and problem solving skills are required 
  • Experience in motivating staff through appropriate incentive programs and training 
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook is beneficial
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
