Your daily responsibilities include

  • Develops and creates learning solutions for multiple delivery methods including, but not limited to, instructor-led, web-based, virtual classroom, and blended instruction.
  • Evaluates processes for opportunities to streamline and/or eliminate gaps to make the design processes as easy as possible for designers, properties, and the L&D function.  Makes suggestions for improvement to leadership.
  • Conceptualizes, plans, designs, and produces a wide range of specialized graphic and/or illustrative material, to include multimedia concepts, as appropriate for L&D function.
  • Analyzes L&D needs for the Company.
  • Completes special projects as needed.
  • Works closely with L&D Program Manager on day-to-day projects, including but not limited to, communications and strategic planning.
  • Plans production schedules for the various steps in the design process; analyzes and projects development costs.  Reports findings to Director.
  • Supervises and manages the overall daily tasks and production of Instructional Designers.  Supports, administers, and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Leads the Instructional Designers to ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely as they relate to SLAs (service level agreements), guidelines, and goals. 
  • Provides coaching and mentoring, and provides feedback on the delivery of learning programs.
  • Creates engaging and effective training content according and evaluates learning programs for adult learners.
  • Plans implementation of learning programs including the creation of all materials needed to deliver learning effectively.
  • Assists with developing materials to support existing and new programs.
  • Assists with loading, creating, and retiring courses in the Company’s LMS.
  • Creates and reviews training programs and processes and recommends improvements as needed.
  • Serves as a liaison to and provides technical advice and guidance with vendors and corporate/property management on design and technical issues inside the LMS.
  • Manages external vendors, suppliers, and internal business partners to accomplish proposed training solutions.
  • Assists with the development of training plans and solutions according to business needs.
  • Provides input for the preparation and distribution of training documents and/or videos.
  • Consults with Director on all performance related issues and concerns. Makes recommendations for improvements. 
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. 
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Training/Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Instructional Design or Human Resources; or five to ten years’ related experience in Human Resources with emphasis in Learning & Development; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience developing training content for a large organization highly preferred.  Must have leadership experience. 
  • Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must have understanding of adult learning theories and evaluation methods.
  • Must have working knowledge of learning and development trends and compliance requirements as they relate to state and federal laws and the gaming industry.
  • Must have excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Must be able to follow standard procedures and understand impact of learning and development as it relates to HR policies and Team Members.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of state, local and federal labor laws and regulations related to HR.
  • Must be detailed oriented and have excellent organization skills.
  • Must have the ability to be proactive when working on tasks and escalate priority work as needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Must have technical and working knowledge in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Experience in SuccessFactors is highly preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                    

This job will have supervisory responsibilities.

  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.
  • Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).


Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.



Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.



Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
