Your daily responsibilities include

  • Responsible for directing the overall operations and staff of the Security department. Develops, implements, and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Ensures that scheduling is done in an effective and efficient manner while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with departmental and company standards and programs.  Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.  Responsible for the overall achievement of departmental customer service goals.    
  • Develops, evaluates, enforces, reviews, and approves changes or revisions to operating practices, procedures, and standards based on business trends and practices.
  • Provides for the safety of team members including ensuring all areas are free of safety hazards, debris, and litter, and conducting training as needed.
  • Identifies and resolves Security-related problems.
  • Develops and implements alternative methods for Security operation improvement.
  • Examines and analyzes the physical property, processes, and procedures and develops, institutes, oversees, and enforces emergency policies.
  • Serves as liaison with gaming regulators, public law enforcement, fire officials, and other agencies as it relates to Security by maintaining a positive and constructive relationship.
  • Conducts, supervises, and prepares reports relating to investigations of any losses or violations of law, regulations, policies, or procedures.
  • Transfers Table Games fills and credits.
  • Provides escorts as needed.
  • Testifies in court when necessary.
  • Protects and preserves the assets of the company.
  • Compiles information and completes and submits reports to authorized management or Accounting as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues to Executive Management/GM.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent required; or five to seven years of Casino Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three (3) years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Driver’s License and operate company vehicles as needed.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have the ability to remain calm in emergency or stressful situations.
