Your daily responsibilities include

  • Responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of the Revenue Audit department. Supports, administers, and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Creates effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department and provides recommendations; ensures compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reports budget concerns to manager.
  • Monitors compliance of revenue activities on the property via the exception process to ensure that all relative documentation is completed in compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Assists in development and implementation of procedural policies for audits, makes corrections or revisions as needed, and cooperates with internal and external auditors as needed.
  • Completes journal entries, reconciles balance sheet accounts, and produces various revenue reports and statistical analyses.
  • Creates financial spreadsheets and updates information on a regular basis.
  • Creates standard operating procedures and makes improvements for suggestions as needed.
  • Provides professional representation at internal and external meetings and events.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with departmental and company standards and programs.  Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.  Responsible for the overall achievement of departmental customer service goals.    
  • Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues to Executive Management/GM.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Associate degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from four-year college or university strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in Revenue Audit or similar accounting functions.
  • Previous supervisory and gaming industry experience strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret various metrics, financial reports, legal documents, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
  • Must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
