We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Heavy Duty Steward.  An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • All duties may change or be altered as determined by the Lead Steward on duty.
  • Maintains all BOH work areas (e.g., kitchens, prep areas, and dish rooms) and equipment (e.g., stoves, grills, stove hoods,  oven hoods, deep fryers and fryer boil-out, etc.), and assists with the daily cleaning and in accordance with OSHA and ServSafe standards.
  • Removes garbage and trash from all operating venues; ensures all trash cans are clean and relined.
  • Cleans mechanical devices as needed (e.g., dishwashers, combi ovens, ice cream machines, and smoker).
  • Adheres to safety, proper cleanliness, and sanitation standards as set forth by company and departmental guidelines and ServSafe.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitary conditions in all kitchen and food storage areas by scrubbing the floors, cleaning surfaces, and washing walls and ceilings tiles as needed.
  • Carries or transfers by cart, supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Maintains safe working conditions and practices throughout all guest and service contact areas.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have effection written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Understanding of OSHA and Your Right to Know Rules pertaining to the MSDS Book (Material Safety Data Sheet) and regulations as required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work with interruptions and divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects, or assignments.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and fluctuating days off.
