Your daily responsibilities include

  • Compile and submit revenue and tax reports to state gaming regulators and state departments of revenue.
  • Compile and submit daily revenue reports detailing performance of online sportsbook and casino to Penn Interactive leadership team.
  • Compile and submit revenue and handle reports to professional sports leagues, including but not limited to NFL, NBA and MLB.
  • Post journal entries to record business transactions.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations to validate the completeness and accuracy of GL account balances.
  • Comply with all accounting and financial reporting internal controls as required by internal policy as well as outside agencies and governing bodies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with casino property accounting & finance employees to support the accounting and administrative functions of online casino and online sports betting operations.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of rules and regulations as promulgated by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, state departments of revenue and state gaming commissions.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Enthusiastically support, actively promote and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Assist with other ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed.

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred ­­­­­­­Accounting or Finance.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries from state regulatory agencies.
  • Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to perform statistical analyses.
  • Must have the ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge; MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
