As such, PI is looking for a Senior Database Marketing Analyst to assist in accelerating the growth of PI’s real money gaming products, including its online sportsbook and online casino games.

 

As a passionate and result-driven database marketing analyst, you will be responsible for identifying and analyzing large quantities of data from various databases and sources to inform our player profiles and behaviors, as well as prospective players and VIPs based on lifetime value. You will make recommendations and provide insight to Penn Interactives marketing team in critical decision-making that drives key marketing planning across all delivery areas – new market acquisition, database conversion, and CRM/retention efforts. The Analyst will also be responsible for segmentation efforts and designing and delivering the ever-evolving player profile bible that will assist in informing all our marketing planning efforts.

 

You have a data driven mindset but can translate complex models & systems to various stakeholders across all levels of the marketing organization. You will be part of the Marketing Analytics team, with the goal to collectively ensure that the marketing organization will be making smarter and ever-increasingly informed and data-driven marketing decisions to improve the overall player journey & UX, as well as to exceed the marketing SMART objectives by improving all marketing KPIs across all delivery departments.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Apply various analytical methods to discover and interpret large quantities of data to inform the marketing organization with regard to player and prospective player behaviors from multiple data sources, including Barstool Sportsbook databases, Barstool Sports databases, Penn databases, social media, player account data, and other sources
  • Partner with Data Science team on predictive analytics, segmentation and modeling efforts around our players
  • Analyze and report on user behavior and marketing campaigns to identify opportunities to improve engagement, and support overall marketing plan initiatives
  • Support the marketing organization with audience definition and list operations for marketing campaigns that deliver against revenue-driving goals including incremental revenue lift, conversion, engagement and retention
  • Contribute to the ideation process by bringing strategic insights to support the development of marketing tactics to drive revenue opportunities across all marketing delivery areas (acquisition, retention, reactivation) as it pertains to player profiles and behavior
  • Clearly communicate insights and recommendations to the marketing team backed by data
  • Maintain necessary processes, controls and procedures to ensure data accuracy and marketing functionality and comply with the various regulatory, privacy, and security policies and regulations
  • Execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in Business Administration, Marketing, Mathematics or other quantitative fields. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • 5+years of data management and analysis experience, including experience in consumer behavior data mining and analysis
  • Proficiency in specialized database software and writing SQL queries to solve business problems.
  • Highly experienced in creating reports and dashboards in a modern data visualization tool (Tableau, PowerBI etc).
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office suite, with exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of statistical modeling tools (Python, R, etc.)
  • Proficient in digital marketing principles (omni-channel) and best practices based on extensive data collation and analysis
  • Ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret large quantities of data and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to work under the pressure of short time constraints
  • Must have advanced technical & application experience with Google Analytics and Attribution platforms (AppsFlyer, Singular etc), Marketing management and analytics platforms for reporting purposes (GTM, CRM platforms etc), and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI etc)
  • Ability to clearly translate technical data into a framework and language that internal clients can understand
  • Experience with a variety of campaign management tools is preferred
  • Passion for sports AND/OR sports betting highly regarded
