Overview

Penn Interactive Ventures (PIV) is a real-money interactive gaming company headquartered in Philadelphia. As the digital arm to Penn National Gaming (NASDAQ: PENN), the largest regional casino operator in the U.S., we are poised for fast-paced growth in the sports betting and online casino space and are looking for a Junior Product Manager to join our expanding Sportsbook team!

 

As a Junior PM, you will play a foundational role in the discovery and definition of key product features. You will define requirements, write user stories, and work closely with designers and developers. 

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Support the Director of Product and Product team in thinking strategically and creatively to gather product and customer insights and help define the product vision
  • Develop user stories based on Sportsbook product roadmap features
  • Parse regulatory documentation to define product features and user stories 
  • Work with developers and designers to define, test, and deploy sportsbook platform features
  • Build trust and effective relationships with peers/cross-functional teams
  • Define detailed product requirements and create Product Feature Specifications
  • Suggest product enhancements to improve user experience
  • Prioritize the implementation of new features and set specific timelines
  • Perform quality assessments on the sportsbook product
  • Conduct research to identify customer needs and market gaps
  • Help to create personas
  • Monitor and report on users’ reactions after launching
  • Research and learn new areas of industry 
  • Analyze competition and future of the market

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • 1-4 years of professional work experience, preferably in a product role
  • Four-year college degree preferred, but not required
  • Experience managing the entire product lifecycle
  • Familiarity with an Agile development process and driving the product roadmap
  • Knowledge of Agile tools, like Jira or Trello
  • Good communication skills along with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Strong ability to translate product needs to technology/engineering and the business
  • Ability to concisely summarize complex issues and make clear, compelling recommendations
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Strong problem-solving abilities; you can cut through the noise and laser focus on what really matters
  • You are data-driven and consistently leverage data to make decisions
  • Passion for technology, sports, gaming/casinos, or all of the above
