    Your daily responsibilities include

    • Involvement in beverage and food menu planning, set up of hospitality amenities, and special VIP requests.
    • Participate and lead shift, function, and any banquet staff meetings.
    • Partner with sales department to execute successful client meetings and functions.
    • Establishes and maintains public and community relations with client base encouraging future business.
    • Responsible for room setup, for meetings, food and beverage banquets which includes staffing, service, and breakdown.
    • Ensures all post-function responsibilities (invoicing, thank-you/evaluation, etc.) are handled.
    • Acts as a liasion between guest and hotel staff ensuring complete guest satisfaction in all areas of Hollywood Casino St. Louis.
    • Attends BEO meetings, pre-conference and post-conference meetings with clients and pertinent staff members to ensure guest satisfaction.
    • Ensures departmental compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws governing Food & Beverage.
    • Participates in special projects as requested by the Food & Beverage Director or the Food & Beverage Operations Manager.
    • Distribution of BEO's and Group Resumes with accurate information and in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for labor and cost analysis, budgets, long range planning, maintenance of equipment for the Banquets Department.
    • Supervises banquet functions to ensure delivery of exceptional guest service experience.
    • Establishes and administers training programs.
    • Counsels, guides, and instructs personnel in the proper performance of their duties.
    • Direct the development and administration of controls for all phases of the banquet area in an economical and profitable manner while maintaining established standards.
    • Coordinates with the sales department and kitchen in the maintenance and development of procedures for food service and presentation of menu items for maximum customer satisfaction.
    • Supervises server, set-up, and captain team members and ensures proper staffing levels in order to provide high standards of service with minimum labor hours.
    • Prepares and coordinates the periodical performance reviews of assigned personnel.
    • Creates an atmosphere of FUN for all casino guests.
    • Encourages mutual respect, dignity, and integrity with all cast members, by setting positive examples at all times.
    • Maintains a professional departmental, company, and community reputation.
    • Instills an atmosphere that encourages associates to share ideas, discuss concerns, and resolve conflicts.

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

    • Bachelor's degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management or progressive experience in large scale catering, Hotel, Casino or Resort banquet department.
    • Strong progressive supervisory/management experience required.
    • Excellent communication organizational and analytical skills required.
    • Must possess knowledge in Excel and Word; experience in computer software programs.
    • Ability to read, analyze and use the financial reports, Group resumes, BEOs, Micros Billing, Stratton and Warren, and Kronos systems specific tot he Banquet Department.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
    • Strong managerial skills.
    • Knowledge of food and labor analysis.
    • Ability to train and motivate staff.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to pull, push, and lift 50 pounds when performing job duties.
    • While performing duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required talk or hear, stand, walk, sit and to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
    • The associate is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
