    Your daily responsibilities include

    Summary:

    The Business Analyst-Marketing Systems acts as a liaison working with IT project teams and business clients to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design (using appropriate tools and models).  This role also works collaboratively within a project team environment to identify issues/risks, propose solutions, and adjust to shifting priorities while maintaining project pace/schedule.

     

    Responsibilities:

    The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

    • Responsible for oversight of project planning, coordination and delivery for low to mid-complexity initiatives.
    • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. 
    • Creates technical solutions that provide value to our business partners analyze business strategy and user needs, document specifications, and translate business objectives into proper system requirement specifications.
    • Guides business customers through business case development for new applications/functionality, including cost / benefit analysis and risk / impact analysis.
    • Quantifies business benefits to be delivered by the project or enhancement. Makes suggestions for improvement as needed.
    • Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a good understanding of business systems, industry requirements, and available IT solutions.
    • Supports, tests, and enhances moderately complex information systems and develop adequate error management functionality within assigned applications.
    • Responsible for QA and acceptance testing of projects.
    • Map requirements to design elements and test cases
    • Provide test plans, test cases, perform functional testing and assure proper user acceptance testing of completed projects
    • Provides new user training on supported applications as requested.
    • Works closely with all IT organizations and drive projects to successful completion.
    • Supports activities for assigned applications and assure secondary resources are defined and are well trained to support the application
    • Minimizes application support load by refining error management & moving initial triage to the Service Center.
    • Tracks problems, enhancement requests and suggestions for assigned applications.
    • Proactively maintains an understanding of the business processes.
    • Creates or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
    • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.  
    • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

    • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Information Technology or related field from four-year college university; or three to five years’ experience as analyst acting as a liaison between IT and Marketing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with database marketing concepts/processes including scoring, segmentation, delivery and automation is preferred.
    • Must have proven ability leading numerous projects simultaneously, establishing effective priorities among competing requirements, and meeting deadlines while demonstrating a successful hands-on approach to overseeing all assigned projects. 
    • Must have customer service experience.
    • Must have experience engaging business partners to align IT roadmaps with business strategies.   
    • Must have strong technical, analytical, and problem resolution skills.
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be detailed oriented with excellent multi-tasking ability.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook). Experience Salesforce Marketing Service Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Audience Builder, and/or MGT kiosks is preferred.
    • Must have strong understanding of the software development life cycle. Experience in systems design and implementation preferred.
    • Must be able to meet deadlines with strong time and project management skills.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Ability to work independently, identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  
    • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
    • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
