    An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

    Your daily responsibilities include

    • Responsible for ensuring a consistent flow of services to guests and cocktail servers by assisting bartenders with their job functions.
    • Ensures that dirty ashtrays and used glassware are removed from bar tops, and that bar area and floors are clean.
    • Clears and wipes down tables in any lounge area absent of a cocktail server.
    • Maintains a clean work environment in accordance with Health Department standards.
    • Checks glass washers for proper chemicals.
    • Maintains soap and hand towels at hand sink areas.
    • Maintains par stock levels by placing orders for all bar supplies.
    • Receives and delivers products to appropriate outlet and stocks according to specifications.
    • Stocks and re-stocks bars throughout shift with all bar supplies, bar glasses, and ice as required.
    • Stocks server wells according to specifications with all products and supplies required.
    • Cuts fruit to specification and prepares all condiment caddies.
    • Collects trash from all outlets throughout shift, as well as wiping down walls behind trash containers.
    • Distributes clean bar towels and collects soiled ones and discards them in the appropriate place.
    • Collects all excess glasses from bars and restocks them in their appropriate outlet according to specification, along with retrieving bar glasses from dish areas.
    • Organizes and cleans pump rooms, coolers, and storage areas to specification.
    • Sweeps and mops pump room, coolers, and storage area floors.
    • Soaks and cleans soda bag-inbox hoses and nozzles.
    • Replaces and rotates draught beer kegs, liquor, and soda bag-in-boxes as required.
    • When assisting bartender with orders, makes eye contact, offers a greeting, and ends the interaction in a courteous way.
    • Uses guest name during interaction and remembers their preferences.
    • Promptly and professionally prepares beverages to specification with speed and accuracy.
    • Promptly and professionally handles guest issues and communicates problems and concerns to management.
    • Requires evidence of age from any guest who appear to be under the age of thirty (30).
    • Continuously monitors bar to ensure that all guests are receiving beverage service in a timely manner.
    • Provides guests with property information, promotions, programs, and attractions.
    • Maintains a professional and neat appearance at all times.
    • Displays a courteous and friendly attitude to all team members and guests.
    • Assists co-workers as needed.
    • Completes all duties as assigned, acts a role model always presenting oneself as a credit to HCCTR and encourages others to do the same.
    • Adheress to all departmental and company policies and procedures, and regulatory, state, and federal laws.

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
    • Must be available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 
    • Ability to write simple correspondence. 
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Must meet license qualifications of the West Virginia Racing and/or Lottery Commission.
    • Must be able to obtain proper Food Handler Certification TIPs certification and TOPs certification, two comprehensive alcohol intervention programs.
