    Your daily responsibilities include

    The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:


    The Hotel Services Steady Extra will be asked to work in all Hotel Operations departments.  Agent will be trained in Front Desk, Room Reservations, and PBX/Operator duties.


    Front Desk

    • Welcomes guests to the hotel.
    • Provides guests with exceptional service when they check in and out of the hotel.
    • Assists guests with any questions they may have.
    • Offers suggestions (where to dine, entertainment) to hotel guests.
    • Answers the phone in a professional manner. 

    Room Reservations

    • Answer incoming calls and assist guest with all inquiries pertaining to but not limited to hotel reservations.
    • Make, create and cancel reservations in LMS.
    • Receives and posts deposits as needed.
    • Works in partnership with all other departments to ensure that the client/guest experience meets and/or exceeds customer service standards as defined by property management.
    • Performs all duties in accordance with Tropicana Las Vegas policies and within the realm of our team values.


    • Responsible for the overall guest satisfaction by greeting guests with a warm, sincere voice and recognizing and anticipating individual needs. 
    • Answers and processes all calls received through the PBX station in accordance with established standards.
    • Plays an integral part in assisting with emergencies (fire, medical, power/system failure) by contacting the designated personnel for immediate assistance.

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • 4/5 Diamond Experience highly preferred.
    • Must possess excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to maintain a positive and engaging attitude even during stressful situations.
    • Must be able and available to work any shift.
    • Excellent phone etiquette.
    • Two years of related Front Desk or Hotel/Room Reservations and/or one year or more of high volume PBX experience preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Passkey, LMS hotel property management systems and internet navigation preferred.
    • Ability to type a minimum of 25 WPM preferred.
    • Clear speaking voice; phone skills, courteous and pleasant demeanor.
    • Must have effective computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and AS400.
    • Able to follow and interpret a variety of detailed written or verbal instructions.
    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
    • Must be able to work well under pressure and remaining calm and focused during emergency situations.
    • Able to speak a second language is a plus.
