    Your daily responsibilities include

    • Answer Catering main phone line
    • Schedule appointments for clients
    • Maintain contracts, clients files and deposits for CSM’s
    • Send payments via Sertifi
    • Prepare Banquet Event Order forms when needed for internal events
    • Evaluate client needs, conducts research and make recommendations in order to assist clients in establishing correct banquet and convention space needs
    • Assist CSM’s with requests to ensure the best personal service to meet guests' needs.
    • Assist the Director as needed
    • Manage all Microsoft programs (create and maintain spreadsheets)
    • Maintain banquet event calendars and distribute to all departments.
    • Record deposits, forward checks to Accounting to post to master accounts/files
    • Coordinate daily and weekly catering meetings.
    • Distribute all Banquet Event Order forms and Banquet Event Calendars. Update all appropriate departments with detail changes.
    • Create appropriate signs for hotel meeting rooms.
    • Must provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and staff.
    • Perform related catering coordinator work as requested by CSM and Director

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

    EXPERIENCE:  6 months of prior experience in the catering or banquets field.


    EDUCATION:    High School Diploma or GED.                               


    SKILLS:   Excellent communication and organizational skills.  Be knowledgeable in the area of Food and Beverage menus and banquet setups, and maintain a study of these.  Ability to perform basic math.  Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well groomed manner.  Good organizational and people skills required.Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with guests and staff.  Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures.  Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.  Ability to assist Catering Director in all areas of operations, specifically in the development and distribution of all pertinent paperwork, handling telephone calls and coordinating the staffing and equipment levels of the function.  Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate night time functions.     


    CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Clark County Health Card.  Alcohol Awareness card.
