    An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

    Your daily responsibilities include

    • Preparing and posting daily/monthly journal entries.
    • Preparing and maintaining summary spreadsheets of financial information.
    • Assisting in the balancing and reconciliation of the general ledger and subsidiary accounts and summarizing and compiling reports based upon transactions.
    • Preparing recurring journal entries and accruing monthly expenses to ensure most appropriate representation of data on the general ledger.
    • Assisting auditors in their examination of accounting records by providing accurate financial data.
    • Assist with month end and year end close.
    • Serves as back-up for accounting department functions (A/P, A/R, simulcast accounting).
    • Prepares ad hoc reports for management review when requested.
    • Assists other departments with accumulation and summarization of data.
    • Maintains backup files, both electronic and paper, as required.
    • Performs other related duties that may be assigned.
    • Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

    • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting from accredited four-year college or university required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 0-2 years of related experience.
    • Knowledge of principles of financial reporting and account classificatio
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
    • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
