    An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

    Your daily responsibilities include


    • Reports to the Captain of Watch any violations of USCG regulations, Louisiana Gaming Commission regulations, or unsafe conditions as it pertains to riverboat gaming.

    • Participates in training with the deck crew on emergency procedures, safety, seamanship, and other training.

    • Ensures that safety equipment is provided, and appropriate guidelines are followed for all tasks involving physical risk or hazardous materials.

    • Participates in training of assigned Riverboat Tech.

    • Performs various tasks involved in the maintenance and upkeep of vessel and equipment; this includes heavy duty and detailed cleaning.

    • Ensures that performance and behavior of Riverboat Tech meets or exceeds the guidelines set forth by the company.

    • Responsible for line handling, adjustment of winches, use of hydraulic ramps, and other tasks related to mooring of the vessel.

    • Executes tasks as assigned by the First Mate.

    • Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set


    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in marine, housekeeping, or janitorial industry preferred.

    • Ability to perform duties required during emergencies; mentally and physically able to perform all firefighting duties; CPR and Firefighting training required.

    • Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

    • Must have knowledge regarding proper use of basic hand tools.

    • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

    • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.

    • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.

    • Must have the ability to remain calm in emergency or stressful situations.
