    This position is responsible for understanding and compliance with Company policies & procedures, local, state, federal and PHRC regulations; the protection of Company assets; providing response to calls for assistance; to provide for the general security and safety of  visitors, and employees, in a respectful and professional manner.

    Your daily responsibilities include


    • Provide security and protection for guests and company assets.
    • Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission, ensuring compliance and minimizing violations.
    • Continuous and diligent monitoring of the building and surrounding areas on property.
    • Ensure employees and people in the harness racing industry comply with the established policies and procedures; including reporting & documenting all incidents.
    • Administer first aid and CPR within acquired training and ability.
    • Report unsafe conditions and/or incidents.
    • Respond to disturbances and emergency alarms on property.
    • Must complete written reports regarding incidents.
    • Provide security escort services to employees and guests as required.
    • Direct traffic and control parking when required.
    • When required assist local, state, federal law enforcement agencies and emergency services.
    • Other job related duties as assigned.

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set


    • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English, possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to acquire a working knowledge of Company policies/procedures, federal and state laws, and PHRC regulation.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
    • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment for guests and employees.
    • Critical thinking skills, including sound judgment and ability to make effective decisions.
    • Maintain certification in CPR and AED.
    • Maintain a PHRC credential.
    • Must obtain the oath of office as a PA Peace Officer within 30 days of hire.
    • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability if driving a company vehicle.
    • Must meet all training standards as required by regulatory bodies.
    • Must maintain professional and well groomed appearance, including clean and neatly pressed uniform.


    • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
    • Requires full mobility 100 % of the time, including bending, kneeling, climbing stairs.
    • May require sitting, standing and/or walking for 100 % of the time.
    • Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
    • Requires normal vision, absence of color blindness, and normal hearing range.
    • Requires communication by two way radio.
    • Requires eye/hand coordination
    • Requires regular and predictable attendance.
    • Ability to perform basic math.
    • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions depending on season.
