The Food server greets and interacts with our guest in a friendly, courteous, responsive and accurate manner; serves food and beverages in accordance with company standards; provides routine support duties to higher level management staff; and performs related tasks within area of assignment.
Assumes responsibility for greeting and interacting with our guest in a friendly, courteous, responsive and accurate manner; and serves food and beverages in accordance with company standards.
Recognizes guest immediately with a friendly, courteous greeting and information them of daily specials, and soup of the day, etc.; provides information on all aspects of company and property services and facilities.
Assists guests with menu and beverage selection(s); demonstrates salesmanship with complete menu and product knowledge.
Notifies supervisor, manager or line chef of any food products that are not properly prepares.
Ensures guest satisfaction through food quality checks and responds and assists in resolving guest complaints.
Maintains a well-groomed, neat and clean appearance, carries out duties with attention to satisfaction, sanitation and safety.
Anticipates guest needs.
May open and pour wine.
Notifies higher level management of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely manner.
Attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and innovations in the field of customer service.
Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
Two (2) years table or food service experience preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):
Must successfully pass background check
Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
Must be eighteen (18) years of age
Must be willing to work weekends, Friday and Saturday nights, and holidays if needed.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
Operations, services and activities of a customer service and food service; method and techniques of food sales and deliveries; knowledge of table service procedures and table etiquette; familiarity with food, beverages and wine service; cashiering and denominations of currency; methods of snack bar operations; food safety and rules and regulations; principles and practices of cleaning standards; pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
Takes orders, recites daily specials, points specific items out on menu, stock supplies and bus tables; transport trays and/or plates throughout the outlet, which may weigh up to 20 pounds, as well as serve food items and beverages; stand for eight (8) hours; effectively and efficiently move throughout the outlet and kitchen area; operate a variety of equipment which includes a coffee machine, beverage dispenser, microwave, toaster, and point of service system; receive monies and make change; communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; prepare clear and concise reports; interpret and explain policies and procedures; interpret and apply federal, state and local policies, laws and regulations.
