The Barback greets and interacts with our guest in a friendly, courteous, responsive and accurate manner; stocks all bars with needed supplies and ensures the cleanliness of bar areas; provides routine support duties to higher level management staff; and performs related tasks within area of assignment.
Assumes responsibility for stocking all bars with needed supplies and ensures the cleanliness of bar areas.
Maintains and stocks all the supplies at the beverage stations and bars.
Takes beverage orders from serving staff and assists guests with requests.
Services wine and bottled or draft beer; mixes ingredients such as liquor soda, water, sugar and bitter; prepares cocktails and other drinks.
Checks identification of customers and guest to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
Accurately accounts for and collects payment for all drink orders through the system.
Attempts to limit problems related to guest excessive drinking by providing responsible alcohol service.
Cleans glasses, utensils and all bar equipment; arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
Cleans bars, work areas and tables; orders or requisition liquor and supplies.
Notifies higher level management of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely manner.
Attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and innovations in the field of customer service.
Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
Some experience to effectively perform the position duties, with at least two (2) years related experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):
Possession of, and ability to maintain a valid Texas Racing Commission License
Possession of, and ability to maintain a valid alcohol server’s certification
Must successfully pass background check
Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
