    Your daily responsibilities include

    SUMMARY

    Primarily responsible for overseeing the storeroom and controlling food and beverage inventory.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Ensures all received product is checked for weights, temperature, and quality.

     

    Orders daily par of all products.

     

    Controls food and beverage inventory.

     

    Maintains storeroom clean and organized.

     

    Conducts monthly inventory of product and reports to Casino Controller.

     

    Coordinates with the accounting department on all storeroom audits.

     

    Demonstrate a willingness and ability to deliver quality guest service to external and internal guests that follow the guidelines of the customer service program.

     

    Follow all safety rules

     

    Adhere to departmental quality standards

     

    Maintain compliance with the Illinois Gaming Board Rules, Standards and the company's System of Internal Controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

     

    Work within the guidelines established by Penn National Gaming and Hollywood Casino Aurora

     

    Other duties as assigned

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s and departmental policies and applicable laws.  Primarily responsible for management of the Storeroom Department and the direct supervision of the hourly employees.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, scheduling, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, disciplining, and terminating Team Members. Must maintain accurate departmental records. Supervisor will be required to make recommendations for promotions of Team Members; recommend methods for improving operational efficiencies; handle employee complaints and grievances; and promptly report and remedy any legal/compliance measures.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    HS Degree or equivalent work experience related to the nature of the position. 

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read, comprehend and interpret written and/or oral instructions. Ability to communicate with internal and/or external guests.  Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and apply to practical situations using fractions, percentages, and problem solving.

     

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.  Must be able to learn quickly and independently.

     

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Must qualify for licensing by Illinois Gaming Board.  Maintain a valid Illinois driver’s license.  Certificate of Food and Service Sanitation required.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, sit, walk, reach, handle, feel, balance, stoop, kneel, turn/twist, bend at waist, and exercise foot-hand-eye coordination. Must be able to lift, carry, and push up to 100 lbs. Must be able to speak, hear, and smell. Must be able to see near and in color.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor work area and the temperature is changing.
