    An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

    Your daily responsibilities include

    • Responsible for fostering a fun environment
    • Responsible for being a gracious host to all guests and co-workers
    • Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events
    • Provides live call of races indicating name of horse, driver, lengths behind and any other descriptors for benefit of general public and simulcast audience of Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway races
    • Provides general announcements to public
    • Conveys pertinent information such as scratches, changes and any other updates of racing information as directed by Mutuel department or judges
    • Provides explanations of infractions occurring on racetrack and resultant disqualifications
    • Provides pre-race commentary on horses and participants in races
    • Coordinate with audio-visual department in developing content for nightly simulcast      presentation
    • Acts a host for racing related media or promotional events before, during or after races
    • Must be available to work for any racing or qualifying hours
    • Must be able to produce a morning line.

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

    • Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
    • Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests
    • Must be 18 years of age
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Read, write legibly, understand and speak English
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
    • Must be licensed with Ohio Racing Commission
    • Excellent customer service/communication skills
    • Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
    • Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
    • Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
    • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
