    This position is responsible for the Finance Department of Penn Online Entertainment (Real Money iGaming) which includes, General Accounting, Planning and Analysis, Purchasing, and Casino Accounting.


    Supervises direct reports while maintaining the system of Accounting and Internal Controls for purposes of safeguarding the assets of the Company. Also provides oversight of the Senior Accountant of PIV. Assists in maintaining compliance with the governing laws and regulations of the business of Penn Online Entertainment (Real Money iGaming). The position represents the Financial Liaison to the Parent Company.

    Your daily responsibilities include

    The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

    • Responsible for directing the overall operations and staff of the Finance department.
    • Develops, implements and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
    • Ensures that scheduling is done in an effective and efficient manner, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving deadlines.
    • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.  Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.  Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.    
    • Responsible for the development, maintenance, and documentation of the Accounting System of Internal Control.
    • Plans, coordinates, and executes an efficient accounting and financial reporting system which provides data.
    • Responsible for Financial Reporting as required by, among other Regulatory Bodies, The Securities and Exchange Commission (including requirements under Sarbanes-Oxley), the Internal Revenue Service, and the governing state.
    • Responsible for all regulatory compliance related to Accounting System of Internal Controls as required by, among other agencies and governing bodies.
    • Creates and maintains a periodic, quality internal reporting process to be used by Company Management for purposes of analyzing results of operations and making business and operating decisions about the direction of the Company.
    • Brings plans for operating efficiency to the attention of Management and assists in implementation of developed processes.
    • Responsible for developing and maintaining a qualified staff that has the capabilities of executing the required actions necessary for complying with all Financial Reporting and Accounting Internal Controls as outlined by the Company.
    • Continuously maintain knowledge and understanding of rules and regulations as promulgated by, among other governing bodies, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Internal Revenue Service, the State Department of Revenue, the State Gaming Commission.
    • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Management / GM.
    • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
    • Authorized to approve patron credit lines in accordance with the HCPN Credit Committee directives and the PGCB regulations.
    • Works with company management and the PGCB to ensure that significant changes to the company’s operation procedures are completed in accordance with PGCB regulations.
    • Compiles reports for PGCB and submits necessary paperwork on behalf of the property as needed.
    • Has authority to issue complimentaries in accordance with the approved Comp Matrix.

    • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred ­­­­­­­Accounting; 8-10 or more years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, and community member.
    • Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and guests.
    • Must have the ability to perform statistical analyses.
    • Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
    • Must have the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
    • Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
    • Intermediate computer knowledge; MS Office.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                                               

    This job has supervisory responsibilities.

    • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
    • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
    • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.
    • Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.
    • Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.
    • Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).


    Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.



    Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.



    Must qualify meet any credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
