    Your daily responsibilities include

    (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for this position.) 

    • Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
    • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to processing payment.
    • Researches and responds to any invoice or payment discrepancies according to established procedures; answer and respond to all vendor inquires.
    • Perform daily auditing, processing and recording of all accounts payable in order to ensure that all work is completed on a timely basis.
    • Verify GL coding is reasonable for expenses.
    • Able to process a minimum of 400-500 invoices per week.
    • Knowledge of sales/use tax to create use tax accruals.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and open receiver report.
    • Ability to process and follow-up on rush items.
    • Prepare information that is accurate, timely, and in compliance with all regulations and company policies.
    • Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and accounts payable files.
    • Special Projects as assigned

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

    • Experience with word processing and spreadsheet computer applications
    • Basic Math Skills
    • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Demonstrated record of previous office experience with a similar degree of comparable complexity
    • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend detailed invoices.
    • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in fast paced environment
    • Must be able to gather, summarized, review, comprehend, and respond to all departmental documentation

    These skills and abilities are typically acquired through an associate’s degree in accounting and 1 year related experience or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
