SUMMARY: Responsible for dealers on duty and guest activity during assigned shift.
To perform this job successfully, a cast member must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Enforce the procedures of each game.
Notify the shift manager of any needed repair/replacement of gaming equipment.
Ensure that every game is counted correctly at opening and closing.
Monitor the games for fills and credits.
Verify that all gaming equipment is place in its designated area at the end of the gaming day.
Track player activity.
Meet and develop relationships with players.
Notify the shift manager of any extraordinary or unusual circumstances on the game or in the pit.
Sign up new guests for Club Hollywood Cards.
Rate guests that show a rating card, request a marker, or are in over $500 and have an average bet of $25.00 or higher.
Promote and lead in our Red Carpet Service initiatives to external and internal guests that perpetuate Hollywood Casino’s commitment towards quality guest service.
Follow all safety rules.
Adhere to departmental quality standards.
Maintain compliance with the Illinois Gaming Board Rules, Standards and the company's System of Internal Controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Work within the guidelines established by Penn National Gaming and Hollywood Casino Aurora.
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s and departmental policies and applicable laws. Primarily responsible for management of the Casino Operations department and the direct supervision of the hourly employees. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training cast members; planning, scheduling, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, disciplining, and terminating cast members. Must maintain accurate departmental records. Supervisor will be required to make recommendations for promotions of cast members; recommend methods for improving operational efficiencies; handle employee complaints and grievances; and promptly report and remedy any legal/compliance measures.
Directly Supervises: Dealers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: College degree or equivalent work experience related to supervision or business.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, comprehend and interpret written and/or oral instructions. Ability to communicate with internal and/or external guests.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and apply to practical situations using fractions, percentages, measurements, proportions, and problem solving.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Qualified to be licensed by the Illinois Gaming Board.

Must be able to lift, carry, and push 20 lbs.
Must be able to climb stairs.
