    Your daily responsibilities include

    • A training session for Blackjack school.

    • After 4-6 weeks of unpaid training, you will be able to learn the ends and outs of Blackjack and other unique Carnival games.

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Applicants must successfully complete dealer training or have previous casino dealing experience
    • Must be 18 years old after completion of dealer training.
    • Must be able to obtain a Maine Gaming License after completion of training
    • Must be fast and accurate in handling cash and cash transactions
    • Six months experience in a customer service field preferred.
    • Must be able to successfully complete and pass a basic math test, and pass an audition displaying adequate dealing skills as learned during the unpaid training.
    • Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when collecting and paying winning or losing bets
    • Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards, and money.
    • Must exhibit excellent interpersonal skills
    • Must have the ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with customers and employees in a fast-paced environment
    • Must have good oral and written communication skills, as well as being fluent and literate in English
    • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues with excellent peripheral vision
    • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and have the mobility to move easily around pit area as well as entire property for entire shift
    • Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality
    • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including, but not limited to, the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift 25lbs, and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, swoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in various work areas, but not limited to, confined spaces.

    Special Notation: Successful completion of the dealer school does not guarantee any applicant employment within Penn National Gaming or any of its subsidiaries. Completion only testifies that an applicant has successfully passed the minimal requirements necessary to be considered for employment with the company. Other employment requirements may need to be met and reviewed before any offers are made.
