    Responsible for coordinating the over night operation of the Guest Reception office with regard to room inventory, i.e. review all expected arrivals, guestroom moves, up selling guest rooms, conducting check-ins and departures, Concierge questions, transportation, wake up calls and call center duties.  The Hotel Night Auditor is in charge of the property during the overnight shift.  Closes out the business day and rolls the computer over to a new date.  Compiles, reviews and balances postings and accounting information for the day being closed.  Night Auditor is thoroughly trained and able to efficiently perform all emergency-related functions and duties.  Work shifts are typically scheduled from 10pm to 8am.

    Your daily responsibilities include

    • Provide Red Carpet Customer Service to HCCTR internal and external guests and establishes a positive relationship with our guests
    • Answers and facilitates all incoming switchboard calls to the Hotel and Casino
    • Books guest hotel reservations.
    • Maintain the guest room inventory of the hotel and sell remaining room inventory
    • Promotes the Hotel and casino services, facilities and outlets
    • Provide guests with information and directions to local attractions.
    • Performs Guest Reception Desk duties to include; register guests into and check guests out of the hotel in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner.
    • Check for double bookings and adjust to meet guest expectations.
    • Responsible for clearing trace file
    • Responsible for handling guest relocations (aka walks).
    • Handle guest complaints according to established standards of RCCS, ensuring guest satisfaction.
    • Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously; follow up on all guest requests personally to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
    • Provide a professional image at all times through appearance and positive behavior.
    • Resolve minor guest complaints to the satisfaction of the customer; inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or unhappy guests through shift recaps
    • Expert in Emergency procedures and has a thorough knowledge of all crisis communication material.
    • Run all emergency reports.
    • Communicate regularly with Housekeeping and Facilities to ensure safety and security of Guests and team members.
    • Issues, controls and releases guest safe-deposit boxes.
    • Advise the Guest Services Manager of any over commitment of room type.
    • Responsible for communicating with the Director of Hotel Operations all no-shows, late cancellations and relocated guests
    • Handle departmental accounting of monies, receipts, guest accounts and other forms of credit; posts all charges; complete cashier’s reports and prepare deposits
    • Maintain cashier bank in accordance with HCCTR policies.
    • Complete shift and audit checklist tasks, such as credit check, high balance ledger and no-post report.
    • Thorough knowledge of Marquee Rewards program and deliver attentive service and recognition to all Marquee Club members
    • Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
    • Maintains and inventories Market Shop – sells items to guests and customers and maintains excellence in merchandising.Actively supports and participates in HCCTR programs.
    • Seek continuous self-improvement, training and skills development.
    • Comply with all reasonable requests made by management.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    Previous hotel front desk agent and accounting/audit experience preferred.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as; discounts, interest, commissions and percentages.  Ability to analyze and correct mistakes in accounting and cashiering is a must

     

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

    Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations including but not limited to West Virginia Gaming License.

     

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

     

    OTHER SKILLS:

    Must possess excellent computer skills including a working knowledge of common business software such as, Microsoft Office and Excel; proficient in PM systems.
