MAJOR JOB DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Evaluate client needs, conduct research and makes recommendations in order to assist clients in establishing requirements for banquet and convention space needs.
• Assist clients with all requests to ensure the best personal service to meet guests' needs.
• Produce menu and meeting and event proposals based on the specific needs of the clients in order to ensure the profitability of each event.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure proper planning and execution of events (audio visual equipment, flowers, dance floors, tables, chairs, etc.).
• Must provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and staff
• Must be organized to handle many clients simultaneously
• Perform related work as requested
• Delphi FDC knowledge an asset
• Delphi Diagrams knowledge and asset
• Develop potential business leads as well as actively pursue new business through cold calls and/or visits to local business and sales contacts.

EXPERIENCE: 5 years related experience with some supervisory in previous roles.

EDUCATION:   High School diploma or equivalent.                       

SKILLS:  Excellent communication, organization and people skills. Be knowledgeable in the area of Food and Beverage menus and banquet setups, and maintain a study of these. Ability to perform basic math. Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well groomed manner. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with guests and staff. Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. Ability to assist F&B Director in all areas of operations, specifically in the development and distribution of all pertinent paperwork, handling telephone calls and coordinating the staffing and equipment levels of the function.      

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Clark County Health Card. Alcohol Awareness card.
