    Your daily responsibilities include

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary for Hollywood Casino Tunica, Resorts Tunica, and/or 1st Jackpot Tunica: 

    • Obtains all keys and other tools and supplies necessary to complete daily tasks.
    • Assists Supervisor in providing accurate training to all Count Team Members.
    • Performs daily maintenance of the equipment and is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
    • Follows rotation of duties per MGC regulations.
    • Participates in the slot BV drop on the casino floor by pulling BV boxes from the slot machines and replaces with empty BV boxes.
    • Obtains the carts and chip trays from the cage prior to the start of each shift.
    • Records currency from each bill acceptor and table games box on the electronic currency counter. Prepares and bundles the currency drop for verification.
    • Separates slot ticket and currency from gaming machines and performs chip count for Poker Room.
    • Prepares and creates required reports on the count and accurately enters into computerized online accounting system.
    • Audits and submits accurate paperwork to Revenue Audit.
    • Prepares and bundles the currency drop for verification and separates slot ticket and currency from gaming machines.
    • Promptly notifies Manager and/or Supervisor of any problems or inconsistencies resulting from the drop or counting of currency and tickets in the count room.
    • Escalates issues to the Count Room Manager or Supervisor.
    • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. 
    • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
    • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

     

                                                                                          

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                    

    This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS  

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     • Associate’s degree (A.A.) from two-year college or technical school; or zero to one year of experience in cleaning public buildings and/or facilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must have a thorough working knowledge of drop schedules, Key Control requirements, and Cash Storage, Table Games, and Poker Drop Box distribution as they apply to MGC regulations.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Must have technical proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook). Experience working in AS400 required. 
    • Ability to maintain professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to department and company standards.
    • Must have working knowledge of and be able to use a vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, buffer, ladder, Tommie lift, and a shop vac.
    • Must have working knowledge of safety guidelines.
    • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
    • Ability to work in a high-volume environment.  
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
    • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

     

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

     

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Must be able to obtain a Mississippi gaming badge (work permit).

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud.  Employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
