    Your daily responsibilities include


    The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary for Hollywood Casino Tunica, Resorts Tunica, and/or 1st Jackpot Tunica: 


    • Participates in the cash count in the count room by emptying the BV boxes and processing cash and tickets through the high speed currency counters in the count room.
    • Participates in the slot BV drop on the casino floor by pulling BV boxes from the slot machines and replaces with empty BV boxes.
    • Uses table top currency counters to count and strap currency.
    • Obtains the carts and chip trays from the cage prior to the start of each shift.
    • Records currency from each bill acceptor and table games box on the electronic currency counter. Prepares and bundles the currency drop for verification.
    • Separates slot ticket and currency from gaming machines and performs chip count for Poker Room.
    • Prepares and creates required reports on the count and accurately enters into computerized online accounting system.
    • Promptly notifies Manager and/or Supervisor of any problems or issues in the count room.
    • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. 
    • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
    • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                    

    This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Must have one to three months’ related experience to include cashier duties.
    • Must be able to use a 10-key calculator and have the ability to use scanners, bar code printers, table top currency counters, and high speed currently counters.
    • Ability to maintain professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to department and company standards.
    • Must have working knowledge of safety guidelines.
    • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.



    Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.



    Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.



    Must be able to obtain a Mississippi gaming badge (work permit).

    The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud.  Employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
