    Your daily responsibilities include

    Responsible for all aspects property support of all Information Technology systems, equipment and peripheral devices. They are primary system expert for the specialty area of expertise. Provide hardware and software desktop support to employees and guests as directed. Repair or administer equipment and systems as needed.

    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

    Line: Responsible to the Regional Manager of Information Technology for the successful performance of assigned responsibilities. 

     

    Staff: Assists and advises other departments and Company personnel, as necessary, to assure the successful performance of their assigned duties and the company overall.

     

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Provide primary support for their area of expertise.
    2. Provide first and second level support to users for the applications used by the company.
    3. Analyzes management needs regarding application systems and recommends solutions to business.   
    4. Coordinates development efforts between the end user ("client") and the Information Technology development and support staff.
    5. For projects assigned, is responsible for all aspects of project management and coordination for the project. Ensures development and implementation of detailed project. Ensures development and implementation of detailed project plans, monitoring progress against the plan(s), and reporting project status to department and company management on a regular basis. Proactively identifies issues that may impact project scope or timetable to alert management to such issues.
    6. Investigates and evaluates systems issues reported by clients and coordinates their resolution.
    7. Responsible for fulfilling the quality assurance function for new and changed application systems being implemented. This includes analyzing the changes made, testing the application to ensure the system functions properly, validating they were designed in accordance with the end user or client requirements and are properly documented; develops client documentation as appropriate.
    8. Coordinates client testing and training for the new or changed systems. Trains staff in the use of new or changed systems as appropriate.
    9. Provides ad hoc reporting for client departments on an as needed basis.
    10. Assists in the development of departmental standards, policies and procedures.
    11. Assists in the training of the Application specialists.
    12. Work in tandem with vendor support personnel to ensure product changes are tested and successfully implemented.
    13. Will act as the property advocate to ensure assigned properties receive the required level of support from I.T. and product vendors.
    14. Performs other duties as assigned.

     

    METHODS OF ACCOUNTABILITY 

    1. Through various oral and written reports to the Regional Manager of IT.
    2. Compliance with Company policies, procedures, and expectations.

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

    STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

     

    Individual Proficiencies:

    1. Ability to be trained in multiple platforms.
    2. Basic knowledge of computer operations and users environments.
    3. Advanced-level skills related to troubleshooting on multiple platforms, problem
      determination, and restoration techniques, related hardware and software products.
    4. Intermediate knowledge of network topologies.
    5. Excellent communication skills.
    6. Intermediate analytical and problem solving skills.
    7. Must have good customer service skills.
    8. Must be well organized and detail oriented and be able to multi-task.
    9. Available to work in a 24 hour, 7 day a week environment and be on call as required.
    10. Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast paced environment. 
    11. Addressing complaints, problem resolution and interdepartmental relations. 
    12. Other duties as assigned by the Regional Director of Information Technology.

    MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    Ability to analyze, interpret and manage departmental needs and results.

    Ability to review and solve complex problems.

    Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment

    Lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

    Work on ladders and in confined spaces.

     

    EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical training and experience.

    1 - 3 years of experience in a technical support role.

    Demonstrated intermediate-level technical skills in all platforms.

     

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

    Office environment.

    High Energy casino environment with noise, bright lights and exposure to smoking and alcoholic beverages. 24/7 business may require extended hours across all shifts to serve the needs of the department and team members.

    Periodically works nights or weekends to perform assigned duties.

    General Office equipment.

    Computer and audit software applications

    Microsoft Office programs.

    SDS, AS400, MICROS, KRONOS systems
