    Your daily responsibilities include

    SUMMARY

    The AV Technician uses equipment and applications related to video and audio. The AV Technician Works with departments including but not limited to Marketing, Human Resources, and IT to assist with employee functions, public and/or private events, and day-to-day audio visual operations. This position will be responsible for the maintaining, upgrading and operating the casino AV systems. These functions will include, but are not limited to, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, repair and design of the existing and new AV systems.  In Addition the AV Technician will be setting up pro audio equipment and lighting for live bands, sound and video file conversion and managing content delivery for other departments through the AV system.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • This position is responsible for providing a high level of customer service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests and employees.
    • Performs and schedules repair, maintenance and installation of audio visual/sound equipment to ensure continuous operations.
    • Provides direct AV support for marketing and promotions as needed.
    • Performs audio, video, and graphic program editing with software that includes, but not limited to, Pro Tools, Davinci and Avid.
    • Candidate should have a strong knowledge of audio and video encoding formats and be able to utilize software to render and convert audio and video into formats that are acceptable to the property systems.
    • Maintain and have a working knowledge of Satellite, cable, and video over Cat5e/6 distribution systems.
    • Maintain records of maintenance, repair and distribution of equipment.
    • Occasionally mounts permanent audiovisual equipment such as projection screens, flat screen monitors, speakers, and projectors.
    • Sets up and operates sound equipment for live entertainment.  Is proficient with digital and analog mixing consoles, Microphones (wired & wireless), Stage Monitors, and Backline Equipment.
    • Must be proficient with the operation of Crestron, Mondo and Bi-Amp audio/video systems and have a working knowledge of how to balance and configure a multi-zone AV environment.
    • Must have a working knowledge of IP based content management and distribution systems, AdTec and Magenta units.
      • Ensures that behavior and appearance are in compliance with established standards.
      • Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff.  
      • Performs all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    A high school diploma or equivalent is required.  A minimum of 2 years of experience in the audio visual/sound field is required. This position is responsible for providing a high level of customer service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests and employees. Must understand and speak the English language.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear.  The employee is required to walk: use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and climb or balance. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs occasionally.  Must be able to lift 75+ pounds, ability to ascend and descend heights on ladders and lifts.

     

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
