    An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

    Your daily responsibilities include

    • Processes Payroll and associated tasks
    • Assists in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
    • Maintains Fixed Asset and Depreciation Ledger
    • Assists Revenue Auditors when necessary to meet daily deadlines for DOR
    • Maintains Prepaid Spreadsheet
    • Provides timely and accurate reports upon request.
    • Abides by all company, State Gaming Commission and departmental policies and procedures.
    • Completes special projects as assigned.
    • Performs accounting duties including General Ledger entries and reconciliations
    • Creates and maintains Excel spreadsheets
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

    • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university;
    • two year degree with two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows Excel, Word and Access.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
    • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
    • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Must qualify for licensing by the Maine Gaming/Racing Commission.
    • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
