    Your daily responsibilities include

    Ensures responsible service of alcoholic beverages to all guests and in accordance with all company/department policy and procedures. 

     

    Requests evidence of age for guests in accordance with company / department policy and procedures

     

    Abides by state laws and company / department policy and procedures pertaining to the service and sale of alcoholic beverages

     

    Works in assigned area and provides fast, friendly, professional service to all guests in accordance with department standards.

     

    Promptly and professionally handles guest issues and communicates problems and concerns to management

     

    Answers guests’ questions and stays current about property events and attractions.

    Proficient with food and beverage menu items, pricing, garnishing and glassware

     

    Monitors guests throughout their visit to ensure all needs are met

     

    Provides personal service and uses guest name

     

    Ensures area is kept clean, safe, orderly and cleared of all unnecessary items

     

    Maintains a professional and well-groomed appearance at all times in accordance to HLounge uniform standards

     

    Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service at all times to guests and team members in accordance with department and company standards and programs

     

    Ensures that behavior is in compliance with established standards


    Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff

     

    Participates in meetings and trainings as required

     

    Performs all job duties in a safe and responsible manner

     

    Performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management

    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position has no supervisory responsibility

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a track record of performing each essential responsibility satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

     

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.  Prior experience in a customer service related position preferred.

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Excellent communication skills both written and oral.  Ablility to read and comprehend simple instructions, instruction manuals, short correspondence and memos and write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations and respond to questions from guests, managers or staff members.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.

     

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

     

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Must obtain licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission every year of employment; and, must obtain and retain proper Food Handler Certification, TIPS Certification and TOPS Certification.

     

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
    • Must demonstrate superior customer service
    • Personable, enthusiastic and an excellent communicator
    • Able to carry beverage tray and stand for long periods of time
    • Must maintains a professional and well-groomed appearance at all times in accordance to HLounge uniform standards
    • Must look well-proportioned in the supplied uniform
    • Must have the ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
    • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekend hours and overtime as business needs dictate.
