    Your daily responsibilities include

    SUMMARY

    Serves meals to patrons at HCCTR by performing the following duties.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    Must adhere to concessions and beverage policies and service standards.

     

    Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.

     

    Enter all orders into micros in a timely matter.

     

    Observes diners to respond to any additional requests.

     

    Follows steps of service as outlined in steps of service.

     

    Totals bill and accepts payment.

     

    Clears and resets tables at conclusion of each course.

     

    Complete any task assigned by room manager, supervisor or room chef.

     

    Communicates immediately to the supervisor all guest comments or concerns.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

     

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

     

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.  Must be able to obtain proper Food Handler Certification.  Must be able to obtain TIPS certification.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock.  Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
