We are currently seeking a talented individual to become an I.T. Technical Manager.  An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to
  • Visual Studio, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and VB or VB.NET
  • Create and deliver data-driven reports
  • Design, code and test new Windows and web software applications
  • Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifies areas for modification and improvement
  • Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
  • Investigate and develop skills in new technologies
  • Create technical specifications and test plans
  • Create new and extend existing operational documentation
  • Consult closely with other department management and I.T. staff related to projects and tasks
  • Consult colleagues concerning maintenance and performance of hardware/software systems
  • Implement new software.
  • Will be required to travel between property-owned casinos/hotels and on-call after-hours.
  • Supervision of 6 I.T. Staff members.
  • Other responsibilities shall be assigned as required by the I.T. Director.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Five years of Information Technology experience in such areas as applications development and maintenance, computer analysis, data analysis, data base design and maintenance, or programming in the following AS-400 RPG, CLP, RPG ILE, SQL, CL applications; and/or a B.S. in Information Technology Field with two years of RPG programming experience or equivalent education/experience.
  • Knowledge in ASP.NET, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VB/VB.NET, Wintel base servers and workstations. Experience with Helpdesk Services and VMWARE are a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or cast members of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • LAN Configuration, implementation, and administration, Windows 95/98, Windows NT Workstation and server 4.0 or higher, IBM AS-400 client assess, telephone and voice mail systems, and POS systems.
  • Must be able to obtain a Gaming Permit.
  • Good oral, written communication and organizational skills required.  Able to work independently with a minimum of supervision. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve escalated network and product problems.
  • Extensive knowledge of PC's hardware and software including Windows NT Workstation and NT Server 4.0 or higher, MS Exchange 5.5 or higher, LAN and remote access troubleshooting, network knowledge and LAN fundamentals, including network interface connection and user installation, various network topologies, LAN administration, servers and network architecture, voice communications equipment and services including modems, cabling plans, and coaxial and fiber optic cables.  Knowledge of basic electronics methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electronic and communications systems including telephone, voice mail, fax, and related microcomputer systems, application development, databases, and maintenance of such application systems, a working knowledge of database systems including SQL-based database engines such as MS SQL Server and similar database servers.  Must be able to work flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours, 24 hour on-call and stand-by as required.   Must be able to travel to different sites and locations.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the cast member is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
