Your daily responsibilities include

  • Set up, tear down, and clean banquet areas for events, assure adequate supplies are ready for event preparation.
  • Correctly handle monies and utilize digital touch screen cashiering systems.
  • Prepare dessert area and banquet line.
  • Work as a team member to assure a successful banquet event.
  • Direct guests to appropriate areas and provide assistance by explaining room layout and event details.
  • Attend to guests’ needs and correctly execute the proper sequence of service.
  • Provide beverage service to guests as indicated by event guidelines and management.
  • Perform responsible, legal alcohol service, including checking identification, correct orders per guest requests, notify a supervisor/manager regarding cutting off service of alcohol, etc.
  • Serve food and/or appetizers with an accurate description of foods offered.
  • Maintain clean and orderly buffets by restocking food items as necessary and communicating needs to kitchen staff.
  • Transport service items from the back of the house into function area.
  • Clean and maintain stations: empty ashtrays, remove trash, wipe tables, remove empty glasses, push in chairs, etc.  Constantly pre-bus stations.
  • Know information regarding all Food & Beverage Outlets to have ability to inform guests when they ask.
  • Maintain standards of sanitation, bar and personal hygiene and cleanliness, as well as beverage service techniques and safety all with regard to the safe handling of food and beverage products for guests’ consumption.
  • Ensure that bar and equipment are in good working order and that the work area is clean and hazard-free.
  • Claim tips received according to laws governing wage reporting.
  • Provide positive communication and use Red Carpet Training skills with every patron and co-worker.
  • Perform duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff.
  • Scheduling flexibility including ability to work weekends, holidays and/or overnight, based upon scheduling and business needs.
  • Perform any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position’s job description, where, in the Company’s judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Read, write legibly, understand and speak English
  • Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
  • Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
  • Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
  • High school education or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
  • Cast Member is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The Cast Member is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push or pull 150 to 250 lbs on a pushcart, and enter walk-ins of -10 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit with or without assistance. Must handle heat from cooking appliances, glassware and washing machines. Requires normal or corrected vision range, with the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols and ability to talk, hear, and communicate effectively with guests.  Ability to stand for duration of shift walk frequently, bend and/or reach to a height of 6 feet with or without assistance (stand, sit, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, grasp).
