Your daily responsibilities include

  • Provide information and guest service to internal and external guests and callers.
  • Read, route and / or respond to incoming mail. Locate and attach appropriate files to correspondence.
  • Compose and type routine documents.
  • Organize and maintain file systems
  • Answer and screen telephone calls. 
  • Greet and assist visitors. 
  • Schedule and coordinate conference calls, meeting, appointments, travel reservations and arrangements. 
  • Create and / or prepare presentation materials for meetings and public events. 
  • Conduct research, create spreadsheets, track data, and compile information and statistical reports. 
  • Take and distribute meeting minutes. 
  • Make copies of printed materials. 
  • Prepare outgoing mail, including shipping, e-mail and faxes. 
  • Order and maintain supplies, and arrange for equipment maintenance. 
  • Provide professional representation at internal and external meetings and events.
  • Demonstrate ethical behaviors and decisions in keeping with Responsible Gaming and Code of Conduct commitments.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Three – Five years experience in a secretarial or administrative position
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
  • Good verbal & written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal direction
  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues
  • On occasion, must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, and bright lights
  • Knowledge of the hotel/casino industry a plus
  • Successful or better performance against Performance Appraisal Standards
  • Teamwork – ability to work collaboratively within the outlet for effective day to day operations
  • Compliance with all regulatory, governmental, and safety requirement
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment
  • Knowledge of and compliance with department, property and company policies and procedures
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
